During a recent conversation with colleagues about deciding that it is, at this stage in the year, finally time to turn to drink:

Me: But eventually we’ll get to go on holiday. And then we’ll be all good for the Autumn term.
Colleague #1: *snorts in disbelief*
Me: Yeah, you’re probably right. You probably need to be cynical to survive in this job. It should be part of the person specification.
Colleague #1: I had an appraisal once where I said I was cynical and they went nooooo don’t say that! Sceptical yes, cynical no.
Me: Why’s that then?
Colleague #1: Because it’s a nihilistic, negative view of the world.
Colleague #2: *musing* I’m told I’m very cynical for an American.
Colleague #1: But of course you don’t believe them.

Bwahahahaha.

My Tulsi Brahmi tea in a ceramic cup smells like basil, as Tulsi tea should.

In my metal cup it smells (and tastes) like a beef patty. Specifically a beef patty of the McD’s/Burger King variety.

This is not a good thing.

Funny, though.

(NB: Have been busy living life and having various personal epiphanies, but should be back posting again soon.)
